Well, sort of, they didn't really. It's one game with different players, match circumstances and physical conditions than what you would see in a CL game in Feb-March.

I don't agree that the Euros showed we can compete with those particular teams, as such, but it showed we should have more confidence on a general level.

So you actually think the game had even the slightest possibility of going the other direction. That is just silly. Italy was completely shattered, even before they went down to 10 men.
This.

If u were not able to see the swiftness and lethality they used n that last game, is ur fault.

Our juve mid was owned and Bonucci and chiello were split in two by those passes.

But ill give you the credit that this game had an horrid approach and preparation.

Of course we are going to own Barcelona and Madrid, City, Chelsea, United, and Bayern :howler:

Quality always prevails in the end. Our attack is vastly inferior to all those teams I mentioned! At the end of the day, if we played the aforementioned teams, we'd lose 8 or 9 times out of 10! We need to put things into perspective; we won a weak Serie A, but the CL is a whole different ball game, so people who firmly believe we can challenge the big guns, need to get a grip on reality. A forward line comprising the likes of Matri and Quag isn't going to cut it in continental competitions.

Quality names = Titles!

Bayern have Robben and Ribery in their attacking third. City have Tevez, Aguero, and Silva. United have Rooney and Nani. Barcelona have Messi (I don't need to mention anyone else really), and Madrid have Ronaldo (Nuff said)! Chelsea had a Drogba beasting in Europe, and Torress (who is coming back into form).

Now, tell me who we have in our attacking department that can stack up to those guys?! Absolutely no one. We are not asking for big names for the sake of it (and Jovetic isn't really a big name yet), but because we wish to bridge the gap. A strong team ethic, some good players, and a good coach can only get you so far. However, it's highly unlikely to win you a title (and please don't mention last season's scudetto).

That's a one off, and Inter weren't crappy. They had their fair share of luck, but they had quality across the pitch. Milito was firing on all cylinders that season, they had Sneijder in imperious form and pulling the strings behind the strikers, not to mention a certain Samuel Eto'o. Do we have that kind of quality in attack? Far from it!

*Milito..

Eto'o was mostly playing in defense for them

I'm not praising them. Fuck that club. I detest and despise those scumbags. However, that year they had a solid and complete team. Strength in depth, a decent defense, a very hard working midfield with elements of creativity, and a formidable attack. The presence of Mourinho helped a lot.

Currently, we have an amazing coach, solid defense, an awesome midfield, and a Europa League level strike force.

Niccolò Ceccarini: Fiorentina doesn't want any players in the deal. They want straight cash and Prade wants to choose the players himself.

Niccolò Ceccarini: It would be the most difficult for Fiorentina to sell Jovetic to Juventus. That is their jewel, and Juventus and Fiorentina have history.

Just pay the money and get him asap. Wouldn't be great if we (the fans) are allowed to contribute in the transfer fee. I wouldn't mind paying some of my next month salary for that, it would ease the stress I get every Sunday watching mediocre forwards messing the rhythm of the team.

That first statement is contradictory, to say the least

And that last half of that second statement is simply laughable.

Yes, they have a fierce rivalry, but they also have a history of doing business together.

1) For the first part, I think he wants 30M and to look for players else where. Not players at Juventus.
2) For the second part, yeah we've done business together but I don't Melo was as dear to their hearts as Jovetic is.

This whole thing about rivalry is laughable, because once a good offer is placed on the table then they will be the one driving Jovetic to Turin
