With Mirko, Jovetic and Giovinco as our forwards, it would be very wasteful competing in 3 competitions without a true striker in our squad. Matri has got to stay, especially if we'll get Jovetic.

look, I agree with you. I think I'm one of the few who really want Matri to stay. My post was if, hypothetically, Conte decided to go all in onto the 3-5-2. I think he's a bit useless in a 3-5-2 whenever the team is controlling the game (most of the time). For that purpose, Quagliarella/Jovetic/Vucinic would be a better choice for the main striker.

I'd still have him for the 4-3-3 and some particular CL games.
