JoJo is worth every penny of 30 Million. It's not over-paying when you pay for someone who is clearly a gem of a player, and has the potential to carry this team for an entire decade. Just give them 25 Million + Pazienza + co-own of some random youngster.

We keep wasting money on the likes of Gabbiadini and Boayke or whatever. We spent close to 9 million on those two alone, so please don't tell me we don't have money!

I have nothing against Ahmed, well not really. It's just that he has this holier than though aura about him, believing he has some God given right to slag people off whenever he feels like it. I guess it gives him great pleasure to be powerful behind a keyboard, perhaps contrasting his meek and weak personality in reality :boh:

Nah, Ahmed is cool beans - the douchey aura that shines off him once in a while is only because of the cricket. If he'd ditch that, I'd probably marry him.

Those are investments.. Jovetic will take a huge part of the budget, mate. No need to rush. I feel with you and like you - why don't they just seal the deals so we (the fans) can sleep better and not worry about our "promised players" ending up elsewhere but I do believe our management knows what they're doing. They're talking to La Viola according to the papers and that is enough for while they're doing just that he ain't going nowhere. Jovetic is a fantastic player but we're a professional club - not some headless chicken with a big wallet..

I agree, but sometimes you just need to make the purchase and not think too much about it. Imagine if we had lost Zidane over 1-2 Million Euros, or penny pinched on Del Piero, Baggio, or Platini back in the day.

When presented with an opportunity to acquire one of the best talents of his generation, you make that extra effort, go that extra mile, especially since he can be your key player and a marketable asset for the best part of a decade.

  I know. I'm just mucking about; a bit frustrated in fear of losing yet another awesome player. After the Aguero saga, I don't want more heartache.

I still miss Zidane, Del Piero, and Trez :touched:

Maybe getting Gio was a mistake but only in retrospect, I'm pretty sure Jovetic wasn't in our marceto plan before gio was signed.Anyway, no way gio would accept going to fiorentina considering that he could've stayed in parma.

I'm also pretty confident that there was some kind of gentelmens agreement that he wont be swaped, I can't think of a reason he would have returned otherwise.

The only way Gio is going to fiorentina (or any other of our CF's for that matter) is if Marotta learned somehow the Moggi way of owning a player soul

You have turned into a right moaning bastard :D How do you know money spent on Gabbiadini and Boakye is a waste? :disagree:

Gabbiadini I'm sure is a waste :p I see him being a poor man's Inzaghi, and I never liked that fucker :D

As for Boakye, he has the potential to be a very good player ;)

However, was it really necessary to waste close to 9 million Euros on guys with potential whom we don't really need now, when we have more pressing/urgent needs in the 1'st team squad?!

he has nothing in common with inzaghi  gabbiadini in under nationals with italy and in primavera has always made the difference , in atalanta he hasn't had the opportunity to play since atalanta have prefered to play denis rather than gabbiadini , that said it could also be a character issue , he could be a pussy with no balls and that would be a problem :D

It's a bit of an odd situation, isn't it?

Some of us have wanted Juve to invest in youth for the longest time, and now that they are finally doing so in a big, big way the past couple of years, those on the other side of the fence are upset that they are finally doing so, for fear of this coming at the expense of the 1st squad.

I tend to think that they have the budget all planned out, and know that they will have the available funds to get that "Top Player" while still investing on youth.

At least I hope so, anyway.

I normally would have agreed with you except that in the time that Denis was out injured, gabbiadini showed very little.

I am as big a supporter of investing in youth, but I have said it before and i will say it again.

I just don't see it with this kid. I simply don't.
