I think we would if we cash in on Giovinco. We do need a new ss after all. And now, having an opportunity to sign Jovetic we should not hesitate.

IMO yes, RVP's fee will not be as high as Cavani, Higuain or Suarez.

Jovetic - if we are serious - should be a relatively simple negotiation.
i suppose it would be but fiorentina wont sell him easily. I think we could use one of quags or matri as bait for Jovetic. I still feel giovinco should return to the club, he is very versatile and can help change tatcics easily.

MVP still wont be cheap...would rather spend an extra 10 million plus matri to get cavani, at least we'll have a striker for the next 3 or 4 years. MVP is a lot older.

Robin is 3.5 years older - 29 during the upcoming season. He could be a striker at Juve for the next 5 years, for sure - he would be 33 when his 5th season is complete.

Point of interest - and a stat that could be used for or against in this Cavani/RvP discussion - out of the top 7 Serie A goal scorers last season, only Cavani is younger than 30. The eighth top scorer? Giovinco. Jovetic is 9th *Edit: but is 22 coming off major surgery, and played 27 to Seba's 36 games.* Christmas is 34, Milito & Miccoli are 32, Zlatan, Palacio, Denis are 30...

Cavani is who I would ultimately like as well - all things being equal - but he's definitely not worth that much. If RvP is approximately worth 30M, you're talking about a valuation of approximately 55M for that Naples dog - going into the pocket of a rival. We could (potentially) buy RvP, keep Matri, and have 10M for a LB/LWB - or to put towards a striker in a year or two. Or, try to sell Matri for 15, and there's 25M extra bucks... which should be very close to Jovetic's value. I think Fiorentina are probably trying to deal at around 30M, but that's a wild guess.

Jovetic would be amazing, and it does seem like a brilliant opportunity to snag a potential top class player. An offer of Giovinco + 5-10M would be very, very interesting.

Di Marzio - Have Napoli made an offer for Jovetic.

Fiorentina SD - No, never.
