I might have missed something, but why is everyone so sure on this transfer? All I've seen is some shitty GDS rumour, the same newspaper that has sold Vidal just last summer a couple of times.
No it's not a 'shitty GDS rumour'..

The news is coming from Laudisa who is fairly reliable.

And GDM said we could pursue him again. He's just not gone as far as Laudisa who says we have an agreement with City.

And to the people comparing this signing to Oscar signing, pls stfu.
Jovetic is coming on a loan deal whereas we'd have to minimum €40m upfront if we want to have a chance at signing Oscar.
Nowhere close to being the same. Our mercato spending is nearly done.We won't go out there to splash an extra €40m on an AM.

The payment for Jovetic would count into next season's budget.

I'm definitely thinking that it could be possible, but people in here are already saying it's done :D

And Laudisa is better than Tuttosport & Corriere, but has been wrong plenty of times in the past as well, so I'm still rather sceptical as of now.

I must admit that whilst I saw around a dozen matches featuring Manchester City this season just ended, I can only remember seeing him in the starting XI twice. On both occasions he played well with assists and a goal. His movement was good and his passing OK.

Apparently he suffered two periods of absence between August 2014 and May 2015. Time off totalled around 5 weeks.

The Manchester paper had nothing on ithe rumoured this morning But online they are now reporting that agreement has been reached with Juventus. Oddly no fee has been mentioned but that Juventus has agreed terms of €3.5m pa for 5 yrs.

This I think is no more than a contingency pending the exhaustion/completion of negotiation with London club Chelsea.

Same here, I've been looking around like crazy today for sources indicating that it might be a done deal soon, but I haven't found anything at all.

It looks likely that we are pursuing him, but a deal doesn't seem imminent as far as I can tell.

some posts from July of 2013  :

Go back there guys and check some old posts, it's like nothing changed. People saying 'Berardi will take Jovetić's place in Juve', 'We will bring Berardi' or Badass telling 'just sign Dybala'.
OMG...Destiny it is guys.:D
Apparently we have proposed a salary of €3.5m+ bonuses.
And as reported earlier, we already have an agreement with City regarding the price and payment method.

That is going way too fast.. I don't believe it
Wow,yeah really fast.
Can't wait till he plays for 2 years, really well, then asks to go home to Partizan.
Decides not to over spend on Jovetic
Lets Manchester City buy him
Buys Tevez from Manchester City for much cheaper
Tevez leaves after 2 years
Buys Jovetic for much cheaper price

Legend :hihi: :beppe:

I don't think it will be a straight transfer, unless Juve and their staff are convinced that he can get through these injury issues that he has had. Again, I absolutely love him, but with that comes an inherited risk that he could get hurt again.

But, the more that I think of it, the more I realize that unlike a few years ago, he won't be brought here to lead the line. Get him in 25-30 matches via a combination of starting and substiutions, and if he can stay healthy, that is a hell of a backup SS/AM to have on this club.

I still think in my heart that he is a bridge to Berardi for 2016, and I'm fine with that.
This way we can have our cake and eat it too. :agree:

Its far from a done deal but i think we'll get him in the end.
Jovetic is :beppe:'s lovechild. He wouldn't miss out on him if there was an opportunity to do so.

Unless of course, we are selling one of Pogba or Vidal, I don't see Oscar coming ahead of Jojo.

@King of Kings - he is only 25???

That's at least 7 years top level here. :touched:
Doesn't feel like that at all. He's been around forever. And on a five year contract, as rumoured, I can see that he's still got his best years ahead of him, in the off chance that he remains injury free and gets some continuity.
