Yeah, I know.

It's actually a spot in the squad that's quite awkward to fill well, because it's not easy to find a useful player who isn't young and is willing to accept a relatively low wage.

Regardless of that, saying Gio is dispensable is just foolish.
He is dispensable, and disposable too. The only reason(s) we aren't selling him are because he has no market (no one is actually in for him), and we are likely to lose money if anyone came forward with an offer. However, a 15 million cash bad, and you can bet your house that he is gone

I'd say Juve's best bet is an Italian somewhere in the 30+ age bracket. Players like Gilardino.

]Up and comers don't want to sit on the bench all season[/B]. Our fifth choice is most likely going to be a Matri or Quagliarella type of player.

Its funny about the no. 10. Had Jovetic got it I don't think anyone would have been surprised but Tevez shocked everyone.
At 20-22 years old, they're unlikely to have a whinge and cause dressing room probs. I think a 5th choice young striker is the best option - we are in 3 competitions, they'll get plenty of playing time.

Fuck you man. :(

And that's why Tevez is even more awesome.

I agree about the above, only I'd sell vuci and keep quag. He'd be good for fifth choice and that way we'd have jovetic as vice Tevez and giabb as vice Llorente. if llorente is injured and giabb out of form we can always play jojo Tevez up front or have quaq as back up

I was worried that Jovetic would be our "il top player" signing, but with the arrival of Tevez my fears have been assuaged. I would'nt want us to blow a big chunk of our budget based solely on a players "potential". With Carlito's arrival, Jovetic's capture would just be icing on the proverbial cake. If Viola play hardball, then we'll tap up Ljajic and sign him on a Bosman next year.

If Jovetic is brought on board, does'nt that leave us with too much support striker type players with Tevez, Jokevinco, Vucinic and Jovetic? I'd rather us sign another Center forward or penalty box specialist.

:agree: I also would have been sorely disappointed if we signed Jovetic as our top player, since Tevez is one of the best players in the world. But now that we already have Tevez, Jovetic would be an amazing signing.

Tevez can play CF just fine btw. In fact he can play a multitude of positions.. SS, CF, RW, LW, AM etc..

Tevez, Llorente, Jovetic, Vucinic, Quag :xfinger:
