Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has rubbished reports that Stevan Jovetic could join Milan.

Sole 24 Ore claimed this morning that with Juventus signing Carlos Tevez, the Bianconeri would now turn away from their proposed move for the Montenegrin forward.

As such, it is believed that the Rossoneri would make a move for the 23-year-old, and could offer Stephan El Shaarawy in a swap deal.

The board member though, has denied those stories.

“That is just a fantasy,” he told reporters. “I have not spoken with Galliani about this at all.

“It is just a fantasy.”

You're absolutely spot on, and a lot of us are thinking this, I just know it. We probably just don't wanna start any more forum arguments regarding Matri At least I don't, for now, I just wanna enjoy the Tevez signing.

But the wisest thing, in terms of what would give us the best balance of attributes and abilities, would be to keep 2 classic CFs. Llorente and Matri.

Tevez plays whenever he's fit, and Giovinco has been pretty much confirmed for next season.

With this being the case, one or both of Vucinic and Quag should go if we bring in Jovetic, giving us the following attack force: Llorente - Matri - Tevez - Jovetic - Giovinco.

Would just like to add that I really like Vucinic, but it's just the way it's got to be, if we were to bring Jovetic. We can't have 1 CF and 5 second strikers, as you nicely put it.

Not really, since I think Vucinic is much a better player. Matri is only 'good' when he starts consistently.

I can't really see Conte getting rid of Vucinic, considering the faith he obviously has in the player. Besides, Vucinic being here is a major factor in Jovetic wanting to join the club in the first place.

I would hate losing Vucinic. He still has alot to offer.

The fact is that we're talking about very good players, they all are. This forum has become a bit nonsensical at times in criticism of Matri, Quag, Vucinic and Giovinco. They are all quality players. Not world class like Tevez, but very good. They have the stats to back it up.

So take your pick, I guess. I don't think there's a 100 % correct and 100 % wrong answer here. But to me, the attack force I suggested, will give us the best options.

Totally agree but i think Matri is off to Milan. We should probably use a youngster(Manolo, Padovan, Beltrame) to fill that spot, but rotate frequently.
I think Vucinic will stay because Conte used him often in the last games last season despite losing the ball all the time, and i doubt we are getting an offer that is good enough.
Plus, if JoJo want's to join because of Vucinic, then selling him would be like a slap in JoJo's face

Matri and Giovinco are disposable and are guaranteed to bring in a decent income, while Quag is harder to sell and he is a great supersub IMO. And having a youngster, and playing him occasionally is never a bad idea.

Yeah. In fact, there are many good and interesting combinations we could go for.

After the Tevez-signing, who we keep/sell and who else we bring in has become somewhat of a luxury problem, and that in itself feels great

With the arrivals of Llorente and Tevez, we will have a great strike-force no matter what. Quag, Matri, Vucinic, Jovetic, Giovinco, pick a couple of those; it's all good!

I stand by what I said about what I believe will offer us the best balance, but you can't really go wrong with any of those players.

You kind of missed my last part though, I think Matri is a 'good player' (by that I mean he scores somewhat frequently) when he has a decent amount of starts in succession. He wasn't even getting that much playing time between Vucinic, Giovinco & Quag so Tevez and Llorente certainly aren't going to help is case. Thus I prefer to keep Quag because I think (bias & love aside) he geniunely has proved to be a better supersub and backup, as evidenced by 4 CL goals (including bench equaliser at Stamford Bridge) and overall higher amount of goals in less playing time.

I think Giovinco should be shipped out too, he is obviously very physically limited and was never really decisive (maybe once?). I could see him being better as LW like Vucinic's role in the 4-3-3 of 2011-12 but those chances will probably be few and far between with Tevez and possibly Vucinic and/or Jovetic ahead of him. Just my 0.02c
