I don't really think that is the case. If you are not attracted by the possibility to play with Buffon, Pirlo and Vidal, the only players that can attract you are Ronaldo and Messi.

We sadly don't have that platform anymore. Serie A is not enough, unless we go really far in the CL and someone shines it will be difficult to create a legit international star and therefor signing one will be the only way.

I'm not entirely against this move i'm all for it if the price is right, but at the same time my preference is definitely with Tevez

Real Madrid and Milan are the clubs for you if that's honestly a reason for wanting Tévez or Higuaín over Jovetić.

Tevez maybe, but Higuain is not a team carrying star/game changer. Jojo could be a prospect star only if you subscribe to the hype. But if you want people to sit up and take notice of you and be a marketable team in developing markets beyond Europe, then you need an Ibra/Tevez/Aguero level player.

If we signed Higuain, Buffon, Pirlo, Vidal and Chiellini would still be the biggest players on the team. And Pogba , the future star.

Vidal and Pogba are still not household names internationally. Times have changed, if you're a footballer and looking to get recognized all over the world then Italy is not the place to be. If Vidal was playing this way in England for example I'm pretty sure he'd get recognized as one of the best, if not the best, midfielders in the world.
