14 goals for a SS is good if the player is worth around 15-20m and if the team isn't in need of a real top player up front. You're mixing things up now. We're targeting top players like Higuain who scores more than 130 goals in 5 seasons or Tevez who is one of the most skilled attackers out there, we've gotten to that level now. There is no justifying Jovetic at least not from what he has produced this far. He's not even that big of an upgrade over Vucinic.
You know it's a talent if Conte and Wenger are fighting over him.
Truth to be told, every transfer link for a striker is so pale after the Zlatan link. We should have done everything to make that happen. Now I can't get excited over Tevez, Jovetic or Higuain. They all sound so mediocre compared to the big man.

Again you are stubbornly sticking to the assumption that we're going to pay 30 million for this guy.It would never happen.
Say we pay just about that same price(15-20m) + some players it would be a reasonable deal in the end.
And btw we have been targeting top players like Aguero ,Van Persie etc since the last 3 summers.Higuain is a priority but if it doesnt materialize you should be bloody content with Jovetic.Simple as that.

Fiorentina has publicly said they don't want anything less than 30m. And even if they did, they'll not go as far as 8-10m discount. Also those extra players you're talking about are still Juventus assets, they are not worth zero.
Look, I've said this before, Jovetic is not a bad player. He's a good one. But we're looking for top quality marquee player right now. Someone who can make a huge difference in an attack that is very mediocre.

To me it won't change much, or at all, if we buy anyone of Tevez, Jovetic or Higuain. I want Conte to be presented the opportunity to sign one of the three, and be allowed to choose the new striker. He knows the best what we need and I want it to be his choice, regardless of the price. If it's Higuain, fine. If it's Jo-Jo or Tevez, fine again. Just get one.
