Suns make valid points. Age or not, we do need players who score goals. Jovetic isn't one of those. He excels in nothing. Higuain is just 2 years older, better all round player and is actually exactly what we need.

Good luck trying to lure Tevez and Higuain after we said that.

For a 30m man, yes, yes it is. Don't forget who we're suppose to be getting right now. There are normal second strikers and then there are the ones worth 30m who score goals and create plenty of goals. Jovetic created 5 last season and 3 before. You need to produce on the pitch, that is it.. there is no other way around it. He has still not had a breakout season or even a season that makes you think that he can turn into someone from the old hype he had when he was 19. He has stagnated a bit.

Also, I don't like talking about injuries but clearly this dude gets injured a whole lot more than your average player.

Wait for his interview with an english newspaper and he'll say the right words there too. Maybe he could also talk about Arsenal's transfer targets and say that they want him ahead of Higuain and the rest. That will get the competition out of his way.

pretty sure if we had to buy del piero in similar situation like jovetic today, we would've paid a hefty sum for him who at that time was just another fancy italien dribbling SS who scored max around 15 goals/season, del piero was quite injury prone too.
