Sorry, it still says 13 goals in 27 matches this year for Balotelli. 6 or 7 were penalties. The last two seasons were Balo's best, and in both he scored 13 goals. But you watch him and you just know that he's young, improving and could be great.

I certainly don't think he's worth €30M (at this point in time anywy), but here is a player who is proven in Serie A, young, creative, talented and would be a perfect player to compliment a true number 9 (Llorente) He has all the tools to be a huge success for us in the years to come.

There is a difference between what he is and what we need. He's a good player, but first of all he's not what we need. He's not a scorer and not the top player we've been looking for the last 3 years. Also he's very expensive and still to this day hasn't dominated a weak Serie A or elevated his game to top player level.

I swear to god, if he was Italian he wouldn't have had the backing he has right now or the hype. And he sure as hell wouldn't have the full support that he has right now from the Balkan boys.

Well we've signed Llorente to be our #9 and goal scorer, so I don't think the burden of scoring goals every week will fall on JoJo. But he and Llorente together is a massive upgrade on Vucinic-Gio/Quag/Matri, and his stats for a 23 year old in an up and down team like Fiorentina still quite impressive.

JoJo is only 23 years old and his potential to improve and become a truly world class are high and well worth the risk. I'm sure he can reach his full potential playing with better teammates around him as well. He has all the characteristics we need upfront IMO.

And you don't see a difference between one of them playing for teams which create 5 times more chances in one match than Fiorentina.

In total Jovetic played only some 450 minutes more than Balotelli this year. That's 5 full matches. Both scored 13 goals.

P.S: Anyway, it's not between Balotelli and Jovetic, since Balotelli is clearly the better player. It's how you tried to use stats.

The 30m price tag is what we're reading about and what I'm going with right now. If we get him for 20m then that's completely different.

What is the point with the Giovinco question, I don't get it? Do you think he had a great season statistically because he didn't. He had 11 goals and 6 assists which isn't that astonishing. And the funny thing is that Jovetic only had 3 more goals in a team where he's the clear cut #1 option. Let's compare Jovetic to the level of players we actually need for this team.

And it's not a fluke season or anything, Jovetic hasn't elevated his game to prove all the hype. We got more data than this season to go by. Jovetic the last few years has had:

13 goals 5 assists
14 goals 3 assists
10 goals 8 assists(CL+league)

They value him as much, nobody said we're willing to pay 30mln and we surely won't. Even if we buy him it's gonna be cash + player.

Because Giovinco was our 3rd most effective player this season, but performance wise he was really bad in majority of the games.

I didn't mean we're spending 30m+ on Jovetic. I meant if there is that much money available for a player(the one they call top player) then I want it to go on somebody else. Also we have no idea what Viola want but I'm pretty sure they want that 30m or very close to it, especially from us.
