His career average is basically 1 in 3, he is slightly above that this season. I'm not sure why this year his goalscoring is a problem but before it wasn't.

In short, I wouldn't be expecting a tonne of goals from him, he's not a scorer.

He isn't as explosive as he was in 2009-10, when he tore Liverpool apart in the CL. However, that may have to do with the fact that he is used as a CF nowadays, playing out of position. He is also injury prone.

In any case, I agree that he is a big gamble.

Adam Ljajic is who we should be after though. That guy has just transformed. I'm also very curious to see Rossi at Florence. I think he'll make an able Jojo replacement after Jojo goes to Arsenal, hopefully.

Any new Arsenal links @Nicholas

They seem rather optimistic.
La Stampa said yesterday he rejected Arsenal, I also don't believe he's convinced to move there. Manchester City were very close to signing him last season but a change of heart at the last minute prevented that signing, with the new Spanish guys in at City they've changed their intentions and seem no longer convinced about him, plus moving to a 4-3-3 will not accommodate Jovetic.

Di Marzio mentioned a potential meeting of Marotta and Jojo's agent happened in Milan yesterday too, would this also tie in with Marotta saying they've already made early evaluations? Clearly Jovetic was a major target last summer and a top priority, why would that change in one season? Di Marzio also said the player has no problems agreeing to switch to Juventus, to top it all off yesterday, Prade refused to rule a sale out to Juventus when asked also Della Valle also refused to rule out Jovetic leaving.

Now Jovetic may be unpopular but I do see him becoming a very realistic signing this summer, we need a creator behind Llorente and Jovetic is just that, not only that he fits in with the current wage structure, he's young and his potential sealing is high too.

I've been wrong many times before and too many to count that most probably ignore me and rightfully so however he won't move to Arsenal in my opinion.

Plus, didn't they include some weird ass clause in his contract last year, where the buyout increases at certain points in the mercato.mbuy before June, 30m. Buy in July, 40m. Some shit like that. I hope we can dodge this deal coz its too much money to risk.

There was some kind of gentlemen's agreement that if a club offered 30 million, Fiorentina would sell. Rumor has it from Di Marzio, Juventus and City met that price two days before the mercato ended yet Fiorentina refused to sell. Now it seems Ramadani could be up to something, we know he brought Pepic here in January, not only that Ljajic has yet to renew with Fiorentina and perhaps he could be trying to get revenge? We honestly don't know. Thankfully the market starts soon and all will be revealed.
