FYI, not knee-jerking, I been watching Viola for Jovetic (plus Cuadrado-Valero-Pizzaro trio, they are amazing) for past months, but he has been underwhelming every time while Ljalic decided to not be a useless hotheaded "potential" talent anymore, just downright dominated, smart, quick, creative and decisive.

This hasn't been a great season for him, but he hasn't just turned mediocre suddenly. His form was seemingly affected by his injury, but it won't stay with him forever. A full preseason under Conte, surrounded by great players and he'll be on fire again.

Llajic has been very good lately, tricky player.

I still think of his altercation with Delio Rossi whenever I see him play though

C'mon stop dreaming with these numbers for Suarez transfer. Liverpool won't let him for less than 40m euro and he have no ambitions to leave reds.

Anyway, Nick write even bigger numbers. Suarez is out of our range.
I did say 30+m. And when we are in the mercato for a game changer, it would be foolish to not even try and make an approach. Better to get rejected than not even try. And for the record, even if Suarez cost 40m and was the only payer we got this season, the club would be in orbit, in terms of it's leap in quality. Spending 10m less on Jojo is not the answer.

:sergio:

So was RVP. Now look.
RvP was first bought by Arsenal for 2m or so as a youngster. It was a win win. 30m on somebody who is hyped more an his achievements is not the best way to go i when you're looking to make a step up in quality. I much rather use that money on Marco Reus' buyout clause.

30m as down payment for his loan, he meant. :D

Jovetic would be so good for this team. I can't believe people don't want him...

He picked up any injury, and hasn't played on his regular level this season...so what? He'll be back soon.

The potential and talent is there. We know it. No one can shine 24/7.

Sign him up!

It's not about the player alone, it's the investment he will require. Why would you spend 30m on Jojo when you can get DiMaria or Reus for that kind of money? Those guys are just as young and have already reached a certain level in their game. Jojo may have the talent but for whatever reason hasn't grown as fast. Even if you want to blame e injuries, then it isn't worth spending 30m on, especially considering we won't be doing this very often under Marrotta.

Okay, what if we can't sign Di Maria or Reus for 30M?

Would you accept Jovetic then?

Its also about the type of game conte wants to play. I dont see Reus being the type of player Conte would like.
