If that is true, that Fiorentina are insisting on 30 million for him, then as much as it pains me to type this (and it does hurt, as I dislocated two fingers yesterday installing one of my air conditioners) then

sigh.............

I say pass on him
now is not the time to waver, Sergio...MAN UP!

eye on the prize!

Also madrid want that 25-30m upfront and not in installments.
i also read somewhere that we just dont have the liquidity to pay such an amount upfront.only way it can be done is selling one of our impt players to finance the move.

If Jovetic wants to leave and stay in Italy...Fiorentina will have to lower their demands to satisfy a player that agreed to stay another year for the sake of the club.

You all seem to forget the pulling power a player like Jovetic has at a club like Fiorentina if he is demanding to leave after giving his all to the club.

I'm optimistic. You all should be too.

Then the only way that the rats may budge in to a cash+player deal with us, is for Jojo to really push for us and reject other offers.
I don't know why the fvck they don't want quag though, he'll be the perfect striker for them (2-3 years at least).
Maybe their just teasing us, given all the hate they feel toward juve and all that. :boh:

I'm fairly certain we'll get Jovetic for a fair price. Ljajic and Jovetic share the same agent and Ljajic only has a year left of his contract. There seems to be a deal in place between Juventus and Jovetic and Viola just can't afford to lose Ljajic on a bosman next summer, which is something that will be brought up. It's all in our hands, don't insult Fiorentina with ridiculous offers, but we should get him for around 22-25m, which is a fair price.

Yeh, because of that we have a hand in the deal, and should abuse that fact.

Neither of the parties will bend over as early in the marcato. Let he pressure raise in the upcoming months and lets see who will break first.

we need to be aware that in both transfers (higua and Jovetic) we supposedly have the players´s approval.... but both teams dont want our shitty offers.... so both deals will take a while

The longer we drag this the more it will play into viola's hands cos im sure thr will be a lot of suitors ready to join the queue and willing to pay top buck.
if the right offer doesnt arrive jojo might as well force himself 2 go 2 one of those teams

Comes down to Jovetic, if he makes it clear that he will not leave for another team and if his agent plays the Ljajic card, every week which passes plays into our advantage.

I'm optimistic still.

No media source knows exactly what happened in that meeting. How do they know Fiorentina said they ONLY want 30M cash.

They most likely did reject our offer of 16M + Marrone, but I can see us making another bid, and eventually coming to an agreement.

Di Marzio said that Fiorentina want cash only, but with possibility to negotiate about Quag and Marrone later, which reminds me of Melo deal when we paid his full clause and then Fiorentina bought from us Marchioni and a few weeks later Zanetti too.
