Guys, you know what. I think I know why we are all confused by juventus wanting to sign him, when instead we needa prolific striker, and on top of it all we already have vooch, gio and llorente who can play SS.

I think we are looking this from the wrong angle. What if conte is looking to use Jovetic as a trequartista? As the future replacement to Pirlo in the 352?. Makes some sense!.

He is not prolific enough to be a forward, and we have the SS department covered. But on the other hand, Pirlo is already showing signs of being done for, and players like Verrati are not coming.

Jovetic also can play as a midfielder and he even likes to play there.

Food for thought

Has everyone forgot that Llorente will be our finisher?

Or am I living in the twilight zone.

When given the chance, he'll score.

Sure, and he'll partner pretty good with Jovetic.

Its just that, if you talk about Higuain, its hard to call Llorente a finisher

Giovinco has scored more goals and assist than Jovetic has in any season.

Take what you want from that.
That's what I mean, he's in that Sanchez group as well and nobody is fapping over Sanchez. Jovetic has not shown any signs of greatness or being worth 30m.

:agree:
meh, tbh, these days "striker" and especially "creative forward", allmost immediatly warrant 20+mil valuation.

big skill interval in that 20-25 regio
Perhaps so, but in that case can we atleast be objective and try to get bang for our buck..

Seems like Higuain was a smokescreen for Jovetic.

Loads of reports coming out.

Really wonder if this guy is an upgrade over Vucinic.

Stop with this fucking smokescreen already.

Are people starting to see the pattern? If not, I'll remind you.

First Ibra was linked to us, and then that failed. Then, Higuain, and that's probably not going to happen. Neither is Tevez. Now, we seem to be close to Jovetic. I'll leave the conclusion up to you.

I personally think we're going to end up signing an okay player who's probably worth around 15 M, and sell just one of our strikers. I don't see any kind of revolution taking place. Also, I think our best signing this summer won't even be in attack, and probably not someone we expected.

What I base this on is not any contact with transfer gurus but on two reliable facts.

1. We already signed Llorente. It would be absurd to think we're going to get two more players in that department. Our attack is shit, true, but to replace what we have with two class strikers would effectively break the bank and I highly doubt we'll do that coming off two successful seasons where we've overachieved and surpassed our initial projections.

2. It's still very very very very early in the transfer season. I remember one season when our transfers on the very last day were Ibra and Canna. Point is, it's going to be a long summer and we're going to see a continuous trend where we get linked to players and then something goes wrong. Now, one reasonably this happens is because the club wants to get the best possible deal, and that happens when you wait. Clubs bring down their asking prices and you end up paying something close to ideal. The good news is we probably will get a player for decent value, the bad news is he won't be the one we really wanted.

Yeh was regista what I wanted to mean.

I think he can play there who knows. If we aare overloaded in friont, I would be surprised if conte invents something like this. Taking in consideration eh is creative, can dribble and is not THAT good at scoring lots of goals a season. Still, it all depends on our transfer and if conte wants to play him in that pos.

If we sign a creative winger, I would really question this signing though as we already have enough SS. However, selling Vucinic would answer that
