Juve in Lichsteiner talks

Juventus have spoken to Lazio today regarding a possible bid for Stephan Lichsteiner, claims Sky Sport 24.

The Old Lady are looking for a new right-back after Marco Motta, who was signed last summer from Roma and Udinese, failed to convince in the role.

Having been linked with numerous options, it appears that the capital city player is at the top of their wish-list.

Whispers suggest that Lazio want between €10m and €12m for the Swiss international, but Juve are currently offering no more than €8m.

It’s understood the Turin giants have also offered Amauri to Lazio in some sort of deal given that the Biancocelesti are looking for a centre-forward.

Juve have already signed Andrea Pirlo from Milan and Reto Ziegler of Sampdoria. The latter is also Swiss, as is Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler who is wanted by the Bianconeri too.

What's the problem with setting out with a tough negotiating position?

No harm in trying to get him cheap, even if he is willing to pay more for him if necessary.
