Actually, that's something that makes me worried.
I really fear that buying another midfielder (Stankovic) may result with not buying Xabi Alonso.

Blanc didn't lie last year when he talked about the profile of the players we'll buy and he didn't lie when he said that the mercato is over in July.
Now he said that we'll buy only 1 midfielder and a reserve keeper. :frown:
Well hopefully he has Alzheimer's and forgot how to count, because if we don't get Xabi Alonso after all this time and speculation, this transfer campaign is a major failure. And once again I'll have to call for the resignations of the board.

I mean seriously, if we are really interested in Xabi and they fail to bring him due to ineptness, what other option do we have? Should we give the board more time or what?

@ sadomin. umm, I'd be in the dole queue in a flash:D
not really:p I get your point, but I wouldnt go as far as describing stank as an incredible asset. But maybe for now it is the best we can get, xabi does'nt seem to want us and aquilani is nigh on impossible.

Yes, not getting Alonso would be a kick in the nuts. Get your nuts back into your pants, Andy.

Seriously, you are willing to accept Stankovic is the best we can get? And that its acceptable the board cant sign Xabi, or any other quality player?

Stankovic is only acceptable as a depth signing (packaged with another big signing), if they deem him to be the star signing and fail to do anything else on the market, then they deserve all the scorn in the world and should resign.

Its a huge fucking mess if they mess Xabi up, or not get another quality player if he is missed (Like Moutinho, Aquilani etc). The last thing Juve fans should do is accepted as easily you are doing Triggy.

Even if we don't sign Xabi and we only have the Stank, there will be the usual crew who will defend the board and say "well, it was a job well done because Xabi was overpriced and overrated. They signed Amauri, so that was good" or some other bullshit.

So far we payed 27.5m eur to buy players (or loan them from other clubs)
Until this moment we got 20.8m eur for the players we sold (+co-ownerships) and loaned to other clubs.

Atm we're in a small (for a giant club like Juve) minus of ~6.5m eur.

If we buy Stankovic and a second keeper then the minus will be ~17.5m eur.
Even this isn't much for a team like Juve. But add the probable sales of Tiago and Almiron and you realize that we won't be spending more than 5m eur on players this year.
Even if you take the wages into consideration you'll see that the wages of the new players will more or less equal the wages of the sold players.

It will be really strange if we don't buy more players after we buy Stankovic and a second keeper.

so now you read my mind over the Internet? Yet again, do you know me?
tell me then, how on earth would we get moutinho. You still haven't come to expect this yet from our management. Maybe its time for you to get your head out of the clouds.
what am I to do about it, I can't complain, thousands did and it didnt make any difference we are almost certainly getting him, the point is yes maybe I'm accepting it but it isn't gladly, its reluctantly.

I have no problem of you accepting Stankovic, I dont want him in Juve at all in any shape or form, but understandable those who dont mind. What I addressed with my post, was you expressing that you accept that we would only sign Stankovic and then no other starter quality midfielder like Xabi.

Not a single Juventini should give our board that luxury that that kind of idiocy will be accepted.

And we CAN afford a quality midfielder, can afford the wages, will play CL, and probably can be the second strongest in the league after Inter. There is no fund shortage to get the midfield upgrade we need, nor are players unwilling coming to us like last season after Serie B. So heck no should any fan settle with the board botching things up.

Question for StefanJuventino, or whatever your lie of a name is. You say you want to snipe Stankovic (and me), but why didn't you snipe him before when he was at Inter? What, you didn't have enough time to become a sniper these past four years? Or are you more satisfied killing a player in a Juventus shirt?

those people should be incarcerated and the key should be thrown in the river.

I'm against Stankovic coming here because the board never lied last year about transfers. Blanc said one mid and a backup keeper. If we buy Alonso after the Stankovic deal then everything will be different but I don't trust these guys.

I'll leave you with a little something before I get off to sleep, a ethicist called Kant once said 'ought implies can' which one can invert to 'can implies ought' but is this not nessacarily the case, we can buy some one like moutinho, we ought to, but then consider this in the eyes and minds of our management how realisticly is this likely to happen with our management?

Neither do, so this is pretty scary.
