Regarding the article published on Channel4 from Tuttospot, it's obvius that most of the article is pure imagination of the editor. It says that we need a midfielder and also that we might offer Iaquinta+money for Hamsik for co-ownerhip deal and that he will stay at Napoli. How on earth that would be buying midfielder, midfielder who will not play for us. Fuckin' BS newspapers.

I agree 100%. And more worrying is the fact that the few money we have, we dont spend it intelligently. If I were Secco etc, I would have spent the 23m of Amauri on another player and not on Amauri as we dont need him, if not our professional Blanc is not selling Iaquinta as I read.

Almiron will be sold, but what about Tiago and Marchionni ? If we sell one or both of them we'll have to replace them with youngsters.

Mark, how many players developed through our youth system are a must in the 25 men squad ?
In the above team we have only De Ceglie, Marchisio and Giovinco.
In case we need more than 3 then we'll have to add youngsters at Tiago's or Marchionni's expense.

The transfer budget of 50m doesn't mean 50m cash. It means cash+players we'll spend for new players.

So in that case we get :
1. Amauri 15.3m+Nocerino = 22.8m (i don't know if we should count Lanzafame here)
2. Xabi Alonso 18m-20m
3. De Ceglie 3.5m
4. Flavio Roma 3, 4 or 5m

There you go, around 50m.

Only in case they played there they can be counted as our youth products. I think Chiellini didn't play for primavera but i'm not sure about Del Piero.

Del piero was a padova product I believe, he wasnt our youth product per say.
Cheillini was playing for livorno before we bought him.

I think they didn't, maybe Alex did, but I'm not sure about Chiellini. I think that we loaned him out immediately after we bought him. Still remembering playing FM (I know it's not real etc... ) I'm sure that Del Piero is counted as our youth product.

Del Piero can be counted because he played for our primavera. Even if he is a Padova product.

The terms usually are you are to have represented the teams youth set up in a certain amount of period. And Del Piero was in our primavera for most of 93 I would think.

More fit? That's okay because, if we were to get Stank, I would really hope it's not for a starting position, because if that were the case, just give the Gio the damn spot and let Nedved bench. Honestly, throwig Gio in at the deep end is less of a risk than purchasing Stank.

Better than Marchionni? That's an unfair statement because he's rarely been fit for us, but he has done well when he played, and for Parma he was always great.

The "pants" part came from Steven Coehn from FFF, I just found it sounded funny.

Firs thing is that noone knows how Gio will play for us, and it's hard to expect that he will immediately replace Nedved.

And yes Stankovic is definitly better than Marchionni. You said that with this statement: "Better than Marchionni? That's an unfair statement because he's rarely been fit for us" - Exactly, he is never fit unlike Stankovic who at least can play football. What's the use of a player that can play 5-10 matches during a season. And the other part of your sentence: "but he has done well when he played, and for Parma he was always great." - It shows how biased you are, you say that Marchionni was great at Parma, so was Stankovic with Lazio and Inter (mostly), so get your facts right.

I think it's 4 players in the youth ranks. Not sure. + instead of keeping Belardi we could ship him off to Zimbabwe and put a Primavera keeper as our 3rd one.

I hate it when they say we'll spend 50m for the mercato but in the end they sold for 50m. In one way it,s great for the team budget but when you see teams with 200m+ in debts it sucks.

I wouldn't spend 3-4m on a backup keeper. I'd go for the freebies 1st(Manninger, Sorensen...) or cheaper keepers like Bari's Gillet. We have a goo rapport with them so we could snap him up.
