I typed my dissertation, that's it. Nobody here over 14 without kids gives a toss about it anyway.

No one in Ireland cares about it? According to Guiness everyone in the world celebrates it. No one in england really gives a shit about St George.

I don't celebrate any patron saints, the one we have in england is also the patron saint of Turkey or Greece iirc and he rode around killing dragons. I was merely being nice to the Irish members and showing achknowledgment to their national day. Chill.

How is it hypocritical, that is what i dont understand.

When i said Ramadan Kareem to the muslims i know did that make me a hypocrite? or if i say Happy Christmas to someone, does that make me a hypocrite?

I am not saying it because i believe in it. I say it because its a special time for people and im being nice to them, not because i am achknowledging belief in it.

Im just being nice, i know it must be difficult to imagine me as being nice given how aggressive i can be in arguments, but i am a nice person.

Over in Scotland, we don't really care about St Andrews day either. Though some are calling for it to be considered a public holiday.

Don't know what my fellow Scots here(Boz, Red) think about it.

:wallbang: I meant the celebration, not the wishing part.

Wishing wouldnt be far off, dont like it why wish it. Its like you will first offend the saint and then to say his followers happy st patricks day...Stick to your principles hate it, dislike it, show it all the way ;)

Sadly the purpose or 'nativity' of the celebration means shit in most religions so the followers would ignorantly side by you.

In Ireland, they spend St. Patrick's with the family. In places like the U.S., they get shit-faced drunk, end up tonguing a police officer, and wake up the next morning in a pool of vomit wearing someone else's clothes.

However you celebrate it, Happy St. Patrick's Day. :D
