The Bianconeri’s upcoming Champions League rivals Celtic boast a rich and prestigious history.
The Bhoys, founded in 1888, have lifted 43 Scottish championships, 35 Scottish cups, 14 league cups and the European Cup.
Having beaten arch-rivals Rangers to last season’s SPL title, Neil Lennon’s men have taken their good form into the current campaign and currently lead the way in Scotland with 10 victories, four draws and three defeats.
Their Champions League adventure began with a 4-1 aggregate victory over Finnish side Hjk Helskini, before a 4-0 triumph over two legs against Helsingborg secured their safe passage through to the group stages.
Backed by a vociferous crowd in Glasgow, Celtic sealed second place in Group E with ten points, clinching memorable home triumphs over Spartak Moscow and Barcelona in the process.
The Bhoys’ European record at Celtic Park, where they have registered nine victories, two draws and a solitary defeat in their last 12 outings, means Antonio Conte’s men will have to stay alert to the red-hot atmosphere that awaits them in Glasgow. Away from home, Lennon’s charges have found the target in their last seven consecutive European encounters.

Even so, I hate how our U.S. ESPN announcers have pumped these guys up like they're the home team here. :(
