I've been following the La Furia Roja since Michel made a name for himself at Italia '90 and this year they should be as unpredicatble as ever. A few things need to occur for success to come their way (luck not included).

1. As has been pointed out, David Villa must start. He was the hottest striker in La Liga and it would be a crime to send him to the bench. Also, I would preferably play him as a lone striker with Torres being the backup option. We all know that Raul is the flag bearer but you have to play your best players period.

2. You also have to find a place for Joaquin in the lineup. He's been off form but he needs to be in there causing havoc on the right because he's immensely more skilled than Garcia. With Vicente excluded, Reyes automatically gets the other side with a possible partnership of Xabi and Xavi in the middle.

3. To make up for their defensive shortcomings, they need to employ five midfielders along with the four defenders. In the back four, Puyol is the only one that is truly class. Add to that, the injury problems of Del Horno and Salgado and you have a defense that will need support from their midfield. Casillas should be solid in net.

Don't know that much about spanish players to be perfectly honest, I can't see them winning it though, they have an overrated flamboyant cockend in goal and no defence.
thank god for that, was getting worried for a moment they'd go and do something. oh well :D
