They are funny though

Speaking of Ronaldo's team, I was wondering why are they so quiet this summer, I checked and I see that they actually spent 53.5 million euro on new signings this summer :howler:

They bought Di Maria for 25, Khedira for 14, Pedro Leon for 10 and Canales for 4.5m.
Apparently the negotiations for Maicon are in the final phase and he'll sign for 28m euro.

It's gonna be a very interesting team if they sign Maicon but it will still have one weakness and that's the LB position. Watching Mourinho's teams, I can't believe that he will start the season with Marcelo and Drenthe. They will probably go for a LB (Ashley Cole?) and again they'll splash over 100m eur this summer.

But it will be worthy if they get Cole and Maicon. With Mourinho as the coach, that's gonna be one hell of a team.

Chelsea and Barca combined paid only 6m eur more on transfer fees for all their current players than what Real paid for their players :D
    Haha, great info.

More reasons to make fun of Real and their retarded moves. Not to mention that over the past 4 years they have accomplished...nothing.

Sorry Alen, you tried to slam Barca before when I bashed Real but hopefully now you see that there's a huge difference.

I don't think Mourinho will win anything his first year there. Too many changes at the revolving door that is Real Madrid, the idiotic club they are.

But they will certainly win something in their second year.

Do you have the list of Barcelona and Chelsea?
Manchester City aswell would make interesting reading.
I have it for Barcelona but for Chelsea and City it's more complicated because the fees are in pounds, so one needs to convert and it's tough due to the difference in Pound vs euro over the years changing all the time. Chelsea spent ~280M eur for their current players, while City spent ~350M eur

    Barcelona:
    1. Ibrahimovic - €69M
    2. Villa - €40M
    3. Dani Alves - €29M+6 on additional fees
    4. G. Milito - €20.5M
    5. Abidal - €15M
    6. Keita - €14M
    7. Adriano - €9.5M
    8. Pique - €5M
    9. Maxwell - €4.5M
    ----------
    Total = €208.5 M

Valdes, Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Bojan, Pinto, Busquets, Pedro and Jeffren were from the youth team or came on a free transfer (Pinto).

P.S: Oh, and City have like million players in the squad right now

Actually, we were talking about the last two transfer seasons and the difference wasn't as huge as presented.
This summer Barca sold some players who were expensive when they bought them (The Ucrainian dude, Henry etc) so now the difference looks bigger.

They used Arbeloa as a leftback a lot last year, Mourinho might as well do that too.
