I don't know where this is going or what those crazy Arabs do, but I thought it's implied when you're kissing friends or family, you kiss on the cheek.
Erm, not really, all the Westerners that come here talk about how uncomfortable they are to this type of greeting. To them, a hug is the max when it comes to similar sexes
Well I haven't been around the whole world but I've seen it on TV, movies, etc. From personal life, apart from friends/family, I've been greeted by a hug/kiss on the cheek even by business partners, which are considered like friends nowadays, from Scotland, Germany, Hungary, Cezch and Slovakia, off the top of my head. It's a normal greeting. A handshake when you first meet someone, a hug or a kiss if some sort of platonic relationship has been made with time.

Btw, honestly Anglo Americans are the most insecure people ever. You guys are even sensitive to someone holding your hand for 3 seconds. Seriously man the fuck up
Haha, no, they're all family men and with mistresses on the side.
I can't believe this is even being discussed really. If someone is uncomfortable with an occasional kiss from someone they consider a friend....then they themselves outta be concerned.

Wait, I kiss my family members all the time (on the cheek of course), well wait not all, mainly the girls but with old Italians and stuff a kiss on each cheek is the custom, male or female.
