Real are utterly clueless without Ronaldo. They were really poor today against S. Gijon. 4 games without Ronaldo, only one victory.
I agree, the worrying thing is. They signed Albiol who I thought might of sured the defence up alot. I rate him high from his Valencia days. Quite a few times they were undone at the back and if Gijon improved the final ball there could of been trouble. Pepe has showed the defender that he really is. A terrible one.

On the conrary i thought Pepe played an excellent game today. Easily he was their best defender, he got skinned on one occasion but other than that he kept Gijon's lone striker in check. It wad Marcelo who was poor, with most of Gijon's chances coming from his side.

Sporting had really great chances to score if they had the right mentality to score. What they suffered is someone who could make the last touch. Especially that chance when their striker headed away instead of controlling the ball down and take the shot!!
