Clichy has been average this season, i just don't understand. He was brilliant in his first two seasons as a starter, in his second season as a starter he was the best leftback in the EPL. Mr consistency was his label, but ever since that Birmingham gaffe he's been on a downward slope.

I still think he has the ability, but obviously his mentality is weak. Hopefully Wenger can work on that.

Valladollid did rather well offensively, caused Real a number of problems. But their defense is just too poor, especially for Marcelo's goal.

Valencia giving Barcelona a run for their money. They're playing much better than Barca and they've had more chances, the trio of Mata, Silva and Pablo Hernandez has been amazing today. Only problem is the final touch, with Villa gone and Emery having zero confidence in Zigic(rightfully so, he will ruin their fast counterattacking style football).

Emery is experimenting with a 4-2-3-1 similar to the one Spalletti deployed at Roma. Playing with no real center forward, Mata is occupying that position. They're playing very well, with a lot of nice moves, but nobody to finish of those moves.

Pablo Hernandez. Very good right winger. He was loaned out to Getafe two seasons ago and had a very good season i recall, one of Getafe's better performers that season. Valencia brought him back immediately the next season, and now he plays as an understudy mostly for Joaquin.
