That was sick....

and guess who the closest defender was......again.....for the 3rd time....
He was only closest because he was the only defender to react to the danger.

Wasn't his responsibility to close Baraja down, but he had to since none of the midfielders did.

It was a good goal and a great celebration.

I think the bigger problem may be the overall suckage of Madrid.
Indeed.

If folk look at the first goal again, yes, Cannavaro could have done better, but he was left facing two attackers by himself, so it was very tough for him to do anything.

But still, Cannavaro should have done better, and as Burke said his bad clearance lead to a goal.

Nobody is saying it's all Canna's fault, but he looks like nothing he once was. And again, Real's shoddy team defensive displays don't speak much for Canna's organizational skills, so the people who want him here just for that are not really understanding what's going on.

I don't think anyone in there right mind would claim that we are signing as good a Cannavaro as we sold.

The organisation of the back four, in my opinion, isn't as bad as the number of goals they are conceding would suggest. The main problem is that Real's centre midfield is totally non-existant at the moment.

There were heaps of times that Real's midfield didn't track Valencia midfielders, which left the defenders out numbered or not having a spare man, which makes it incredibly tough - especially against the quality of player that Valencia have.
