Real Madrid campeones

Really though, they weren't very good, but at least they won (with 10 men).

Barca and Villarreal both dropped points :*(

Koeman's Days Are Numbered

Reports in the Spanish press suggest that the Valencia board have finally lost patience with coach Ronald Koeman and will relieve him of his duties when the side next lose a league game.

Valencia have endured a terrible run of form since Koeman took over from Quique Sanchez Flores earlier in the season, achieving four wins, six draws and a shocking eleven defeats since he took charge.

A report in Marca suggests that club directors decided weeks ago that Koeman was not the man to take the club forward, but decided to keep him at the helm so as not to upset their preparations for Wednesday's Copa del Rey final with Getafe.

During the intervening period, the results have got even worse, and with the club now sitting just five points above the bottom three with six games left to play, Koeman will be dismissed when the club next lose a league game, regardless of whether they win the cup.

Óscar Fernandez will take temporary charge should Koeman lose his job before the end of the season, with the club considering their options for next season as they look to regain the success that they had during Rafael Benitez's time at the Mestalla.

With Koeman a dead man walking, the emphasis will be on the players to drag Valencia out of their currently precarious position, with experienced midfielder Ruben Baraja noting before the weekend defeat to Racing that cup success should be seen as "a gesture of pardon to the supporters, more than something to be celebrated."

i hope the same for FR

AGUERO NOT FOR SALE!

Los Colchoneros' president, Enrique Cerezo, was adamant that neither money nor necessity would force the club to sell their new idol two years after his arrival from Independiente.

Madrid were reported to have added the 19-year-old to their list of potential targets and that is something that riled Atlético chiefs and has moved the club supremo to speak out. Stories in England also suggested that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich had become an admirer of Aguero's and that he could make a huge offer at the end of the season.

Only a year after finally agreeing to let Fernando Torres try his luck in the Premier League, Cerezo is in no mood to let another fans' favourite leave with the club on the verge of qualification for the Champions League next season. "Agüero is not for sale, either to Real Madrid or to any other club," he reiterated.

Cerezo then reflected on one player whose future at Vicente Calderón does not appear so certain as José Antonio Reyes' name is continuously linked with a move away from the club. The former Sevilla starlet joined Atleti last summer from Arsenal, but has not won over the doubters who were wary due to his spell at Real Madrid. "He has not played like we thought that he would this season yet, but we still count on him," the president explained.

Reyes has been linked with a highly unlikely return to England, given his complaints about the food and climate during his time at Arsenal, as well as to several clubs in the Spanish top flight.

MADRID NOT GIVING UP ON DE ROSSI!

Predrag Mijatovic is determined to land one influential name that bolster los Merengues' standing and his admiration of the Italian midfielder saw him fly to Rome last month to talk to the officials of the Giallorossi about the possibility of a deal.

The Madrid sporting director was told the huge asking price, but that has not put the Spanish club off trying to work out a solution that could see that fee reduced with certain players heading to Italy instead. Cicinho's move to the Serie A outfit last summer saw lines of communication open again and the two sides have a good relationship.

De Rossi has admitted that he has no desire to leave his hometown club, but with Ramón Calderón's regime beginning to think like the previous presidency then being told a player is unobtainable will not matter. The 24-year-old may not be in the same bracket as Kaká, Cristiano Ronaldo or Cesc Fàbregas, but signing him seems equally fraught with problems.

Marca are certain that Calderón and Mijatovic will make at least one official bid for his services to test Roma and see if a huge fee cannot persuade them to consider parting with the player. The idea to include Rubén De la Red in an approach should straight cash be rejected is another plan that Madrid are considering once he returns from Getafe at the end of the season.

koeman will leave valencia at the end of the season as well, laudrup or mourinho almost certainly will be at barca, real are looking for a more "media friendly" coach and sevilla are looking for a long-term replacement for ramos

question is, who will fire their newly appointed manager first?

Would laugh if Valencia went down, what with them being 15th in La Liga and all.

By the way, a likely man for Barça is 'Pep' Guardiola, coach of Barça's B team.

He looks the most likely, i heard he even gave the board his ideas for next season.
heard mourinho gave them a dossier a while back of his expectations, player he wants to sign and the way forward under his stewardship

guessing they did not like the way he wanted to be his own man,IMHO though laudrup is the frontrunner

Laudrup should be the front runner in my eyes, he's done such a good job with Getafe. But for some reason i think they'd stick with Pep Guardiola

Indeed he spoke with the board about:

1) The professionalism of the team
2) The conduct of the medical services
3) The preparation for the team's physical style of play
