I really think this spell of good form is giving Juve fans a false sense of superiority. I mean, i think Conte has done a fantastic job in turning a team that has finished 7th two years in a row into a Scudetto challenging team. You really couldn't ask more of him, but some Juve fans are trying to make it sound like Juventus are already on the level of teams like Barcelona and Real, which is far away from the truth. You really think Juve's midfield can handle Xavi and Iniesta?

You guys are probably going to be in the CL next season, i hope you get drawn with Barcelona. Because i'm afraid thats the only way some of might get back in touch with reality.

Sorry for being too harsh, especially on a Juve forum, but thats what i'm here for, to offer some perspective when i see bias flying around :p
Juve would need some serious changes in defense and in attack if we want to stand any chance not to be humiliated by Barca, but Juve's midfield is exactly the kind that can hurt Barcelona, play pressing on them, steal lots of balls and spread the ball well for counters. Of course they can't outplay Xavi and Iniesta, noone can, but the point is to neutralize them as much as possible, the way Cambiasso and Motta used to do with the help of Zanetti-Maicon.
Our midfield is really versatile and has quality. We had superior possession against every club, including Milan and Inter. Marchisio and Pirlo play excellent possession game and move the ball in a great manner. Vidal and Marchisio press the opponents Barca style and win back so many balls. They all play attack-defense. It's a midfield that plays total football and the modern kind of football. Individually, bar Pirlo, they are far from world beaters but as a unit they are fantastic. But that and Licht are so far the only great parts of our team. Those guys with Milan's CB duo and Milan's attack would make a hell of a team.

P.S: As for the guy who thinks Napoli can hurt Barca, I think that it's impossible. Napoli's style fits Barca and the Italians will be destroyed. I think they even played a friendly this summer (maybe last summer but I think it was this one) and Barca should have won 1000:0. It ended only 5:0 but it proved how much Mazzari's football suits Barca.

Agree with everything but that. All 3 are world class. Vidal scored 10 goals and had double digits assists in Bundesliga as a DM. That is incredible. He is a beast. Marchisio this year has shown he is the real deal, I mean he is getting such praise from legends of calcio and for good reason. Tardelli and Conte said he is better than they ever were. What a compliment.

Having 3 world class players in midfield is insane, we must win with this midfield. Not just in Italy in Europe also. It would be a colossal waste if don't.

I meant that Vidal and Claudio aren't really "champions" with incredible talent who can almost single handedly lead a team to some great trophy but they are excellent at their job, they possess lot of quality and, what's important for us, they clicked well. Every single one of our midfielders complements the other two.
Name wise we don't have some midfield that can hit the headlines, but it's still an excellent midfield and it's hard not to notice it. Shame for Pirlo's age because these three would have formed something great for years to come.

Just need to get Göetze to replace Pirlo.

Plus Müller.

It's hard enough convincing fans to get their feet on the ground about the Scudetto, let alone the CL. I'd be happy with top 3, but I'm sure a few would see 3rd as a disappointment if they were offered it now.

I think you've been reading too many of Nick's posts. :p

I am actually more interested in seeing the fans reactions, especially if it was a career ending injury.

What would a "Juve fan" say if Chiellini caused Messi a career ending injury?
I'm glad Chiellini is okay.
