Everyone knows i rate Messi very highly, but he doesn't have the vision or football mind that Zidane has. Zidane was just something else, Messi is a great player but Zidane was well and truly one of the football greats.
Zidane is in my eyes the greatest player of all time. But Messi is still 24, Zidane entered his prime at what 26/27. It's joke how good Messi is, he could go down at the geatest player of all times if he wins a WC. He's the greatest club player at 24.

Bare in mind Zidane wasn't introduced to one of the best clubs at an early age. He wasn't groomed into the playing style & culture that the club implements. Zidane wasn't always surrounded by WC footballers that complimented his playing style, covered his tracks & ultimately his flaws when having a bad moment. Zidane has proved his worth in three top european leagues.

Messi is damn good but he really needs to up his game on a national team level to set himself amongst the footballing greats. Whether he can do that is another matter all together.

To me, Messi is a more direct player who is very machine like. He makes a certain move when you make a certain move. Like rock, paper, scissors.

Zidane was like: You put rock and instead of paper he puts something else, wins and you're like "wtf my mind is blown."

I agree with every point you made, Yep Messi needs to win a WC to go down as footballing great.

The problem with Messi, is that you know he'll go left for exemple but you can't stop him and the thing with Messi is he rarely have an off game where he loose a lot of balls and mis places passes, an off game for him is a game when he doesn't score.
