I had to re-download about a month ago that freakin' SP2 and wanted to know what files I should copy on a blank CD to keep all my windows updates if I have to re-format my hard drive again. :disagree:

There's a Service Pack Files folder in C:WINDOWS Should I just copy all of this on a CD and it will work again next time or do I have run .exe files? I wish I could just copy on my HD and that's it.

Thanks!

Prolly not.. Windows has this sneaky way of dealing with registries with installations as well...
What I suggest is that you keep hold of your SP2 .exe (if there is one :D)

Too dumb and you can't give me an answer hey Geof. :p

There's a way called slipstreaming or something like that but I should download the whole 260+mb sp2 file. That doesn't help. That's what I found on google but don't have time to check out more.
