Wish him the best at samp, hope he prooves us wrong in our believe in him. I had high hopes in this guy this season but guess I was wrong. As for the question regarding his a right winger. I dont believe so, he can play on the left as well as a as behind the front two. Overall he is an attacking midfielder, even though we may have other options, I really dont believe we gave this guy much of a chance. I hope DD has some other bright ideas in mind. Hope to see you back next season olivera.. just to be loaned out again.. pathetic. :disagree:

As opposed to the many members here who felt that Olivera should stay, I feel that this is a good deal. Why?

1. No space for Olivera in Serie B. Yes I know that we should give youngsters a chance. Quite a number of players are competing with Olivera for a plce in the starting 11. Not convinced with him in the centre or on the left as well due to his inconsistency.

2. I feel that if Olivera were to go to Serie A, he can get the experience and his form back. After all he has been stalling for 2 years in Juventus and he hasn't really been given his chance. Olivera can spice up the attacking options in Sampdoria as well. By then his best position would have been discovered.

3. Juventus will probably be in Serie B for only 1 year. And the future of Bojinov is still unknown as Fiorentina may take him back soon. Since Olivera has Serie A experience with Sampdoria, he can come back and help Juventus achieve new heights.

Furthermore it is only a 1-year loan

I think like Zhixin that there are various logical reasons for the move:

1. Inconsistancy:
Olivera is known for that, regardless of the bright talent he posses, his loan will only give him more guarentee of first team appearance which is good for him. on the other hand...

2. Experience/Guarantee:
Juve need to assure themselves that they will only play 1 season at most! in serie B. Anything more will be fatally damaging for the club. The club isn't taking anychances on shinning youngsters, they will build a club with enough experience and conistancy to immediately command serie B.

Aside from the two reasons, we really do have enough coverage, we've got Nedved, Marchionni.....and it looks like we're looking to sign a midfielder, preferable with attacking capabilities.

As for cover, Kapo is less explosive but looks more consistant, Palladino can be played as a left winger. Guzman and Paro can also be played in those positions to some extent.

At the momment I still trust DD's abilities. I'd like to see in the Bira Moretti cup of what kind of line-up and formation we will be using. Then we can discuss further about who we need.
