1) Is anyone else experiencing difficulty in using MSN Messenger with a gmail account?

2) When messages in Gmail are 'archived', they end up in what appears to be the equivalent of a trash can. Does that mean archiving is the same as deleting?

Thanks in advance!

2. I dont think so, when you archive them they are just that: archived in the all mail fodlder where they'll stay until you remove them.

    Thanks!

    Meanwhile I have another problem:
If you have a short conversation via e-mail (meaning there are replies back and forth); gmail will put all of them under the same e-mail, in sub-sections. So that you dont have a whole list in your inbox. Instead it will say:

    John (5) RE:....

    right?

Only for some reason an e-mail Martin just sent me ended up in a 'conversation' I had with someone else earlier today. I've been told that's because it traces the messages by subject line, so the sorting is very unreliable. Can I switch it off? I looked under 'settings' but I can't find it

    That never happened to me.

    1) Never happened to me either.

    2) If you want to see archived mail, click on the "All mail" link. In Dutch it might be "All meijle".

If you have archived it with a label, click the label to find it. You cannot delete messages in gmail. Which makes me mad.

What else makes me mad? The inability to disable the spam filter. Or fijlter, if your Dutch.

    Sorry, don't use MSN.

As the guys have said, it stays there until you "delete forever". Google don't seem to be keen on you deleting your stuff. There's a Firefox plugin that adds a delete button to your gmail account - it fits in neatly, but there's no going back after a delete! (https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=882)

Doesn't appear to be possible. I've been using the system for about a year now, and it's never made a mistake like that. It's quite handy too.

1 question...what the max limit of storage space??
Currently 2682MB. Theoretically, the universe has a certain information capacity, but I can't think of it offhand.
