Or perhaps he wants to join one himself?

I dont know much about youth academies TBH,but ive always heard Ajax have a great one.Im guessing Arsenal have a pretty good one too judging from the quality youngsters they develop.

Dont consider Milan's youth academy. It went defunt eons ago.

The best academy's as you already know are Ajax & Juventus, but it'll be difficult for you/your son to get in as some kids are probably very very good, and you'll have to be in a good technical/physical strength. Anyways, if you do get in those are the best Academy's to improve those aspects.

It's almost impossible to get in at Ajax or Juventus at an age of older then 14 for example. If you have a son who's like 7 years old the best thing for him is the Ajax youth. At an older age you would have to be scouted. You have to have exeptional talent and luck. But were do you live and how can you have a team in the Netherlands and Italy as your options? It's seems a bit unbelievable, but I could be wrong.

Well, i live in canada right now, my son is about 4 turning 5 in the next 6 months, and ive checked the sites for both Ajax and Juventus youth academies and it states the age has to be between 4/5 to 14, plus when it goes down to my son going professional, me and the missus have discussed relocating if our son gets the opportunity, he loves soccer, we play it daily, after school and he trains with his school and school-mates for soccer practice, we'd need to fill out an application for him first i think.

Canada isn't the place to train youngsters into becoming professional soccer players, im trying to make sure i open the doors for him, hes young enough i think to be recruited and trained to become a pro if its all works out.

But yeah like i probably mentioend earlier so the Ajax youth academy is my best bet out there eh?

I see, yeah I would recommend the Ajax youth then. They have a very good program for young kids like your son. A lot of them go trough the whole youth program and eventually when they get older they get a shot at Ajax's second team or maybe even the first. Van der Vaart for example has gone through that process, like many of Ajax' players.

Watch out for Daley Blind too, son of former Ajax captain Danny Blind. He's a defender too and very talented. I expect him to make his debut for the first team, not this season yet, but the next one for sure.

Looks like you've got a lot of ambition for your son. Good luck to you and him.

As far as I know, Barcelona have a really good youth academy. One of my best friends got accepted there back when we were in middle school.

Off the top of my head I'd say Ajax, Sporting, and Juventus have some of the best in the world.

If you're a Juventino, send your kid to the Juve academy. Maybe he can make it there.

yeah im a juventino, id love for my kid to be able to join the Juventus youth, but i dont know if its even possible, and if they do, i dont know the percentage of Juventus players who end up making it first team or even going pro compared to the Ajax system, as for Sporting theyr still new, i mean, Veloso, ronaldo, nani, i dont even know if they were in the Sporting youth academy to begin with... etc, i dont know of players who made it of sporting to some big team in the past either, but i would like a host or a list of players who have turned professional from the juventus youth academies compared to the Ajax Academy, im talking of players with the abilities of Giovinco, Marchisio... etc
