I heard Coboli stating most of our capital increase will be spent on transfers. Now I'm really excited!

Serie B has belped us manage our youth. Paro, Marchisio and Palladino have gotten much needed first team experience.

If the majority of funds will go into transfers I think we can indeed be excited about our future. We should be able to attract some very good players and we should make all our current champions and promising yougsters stay.

I need to correct myself, its Blanc that made the statement.

Meanwhile, Juventus general director Jean-Claude Blanc has confirmed that the Old Lady are planning a significant summer spending spree to build a competitive side.

“We have the money and a lot of it,” the official told La Repubblica. “Most of the extra £71.6m approved by the board will be used for new signings, which will be finalised in the summer.”

i'll believe it when i see it though. the club has lost a lot of money from the saga last summer. sure money has been invested but juve has never been a club to spend a lot in transfers without selling a lot in transfers also.

i find it hard to believe the club will spend 71 million in transfers next season. A smart transfer campaign doesnt require such an amount anyway.

anyone think being so vocal bout how much money the board has to spend is a bad idea?? that's a leverage against the us! don't these people know the mechanics of the market?? :faq1:

It was expected that we could make up the points that were "given" to us as punishement, good to see we were able to do it so fast.

But for next season, I think it is more realistic to say we will go for a CL-spot instead of the Scudetto, it will be a big prestation to be back in Europe (read cl) for the 2008-2009 season and also challenge for the scudetto in that season, i think it is a bit to early for is to be able to challenge for serieA victory next season already, but of course, I wouldn't mind if we are able to do it.
i agree. i dont really know for sure if we'll be ready for CL whenever it is..but i believe that to show that Juve is back and as strong(or even stronger) than before, we need to win the CL! we can prolly let Binter get the Scudetto glory while we get the REAL glory!

I believe that given the circumstances surrounding our relegation, this season has been very very good, for a number of reasons.

i)We are top of the league & all but back in Serie A
ii)We have achieved this with a far more attacking style than last year.
iii)A rookie manager has managed to keep most of our champions focused throughout the season.
iv)We have managed to see some of our famed youth products final show their worth in our shirt & not Siena's.....
v)We are still Juventus, no matter the division, no matter the opposition, no matter the points penalty, no matter Guido Rossi, always bianconeri.

"Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up."
