hi, any football experts here? lol..... im a 16 yr old kid playin for my sch team. i hav a big problem. i am small, 164cm and also physically weak. lack in stamina.
the only good things my coach say i've got, is speed (im da fastest shutter runner in sch) and i juggle well and making unexpected passes(perhaps dat means i am able to spot unmmark teammates fast.)

anyway, i need to find a way to improve my game and contribute to the team more. the coach is telling me dat what im doing now is only for da fans, not da team. he say dat i should play to my advantages. but i dun get wad he mean. everytime i get the ball, instead of thinkin more abt scorin, i tink more abt tryin to make a goal, like passin it to better players. pls tell me anyting i can do to contribute to the team using my advantages or i tink i should giv up and b a street footballer or a freestylist lol.....

Try to gym to get the physical aspect. Also if you have the skill, beat one or two players, and pass the ball and don't just stand there admiring the pass, make supporting runs with the guy who has the ball, your speed could help with that

Utilize your strengths and avoid putting yourself in situations where your weakness is exposed. Aggression and will can make up for inadequate physique, make sure you show plenty of that.

I wouldn't go to the gym, it can stop your growth.

Juggling itself is quite useless on the pitch. Might just mean your control of aerial balls is good. No one can tell you how you should play, that's up to yourself.

Don't forget intelligence is a large portion of playing football too.

Try some long running before and after practice and do stomach crunches and push ups as well. Do as many as you can after you're done with running. That will improve your stamina and some strength without damaging your growth. As for your juggling try practicing with a smaller ball. Also you can spend ten minutes a day dribbling, practicing cuts, changing speed, and try to create a move for each foot. Having a move with each foot will set you apart from the rest of the players your age.

By intelligence I mean knowing when and how to run and release the ball, and most importantly where. Positioning itself can make a bad player useful, or the other way around.

not quite, there are alot of exercises in the gym that don't affect ur height as long as u dunt use alot of weight(bench press for example, it harms if u do alot but if ur 16 n u do like 50 kgs, it wont harm ur height).

like enron said first of try running before and after practice. This will certainly improve ur stamina. Then work on ur body, doing push ups and sets ups.
Nutrition is important, so try to eat healthy...Since u r short try gaining a few pounds, but dont keep the training.

Mybe u could play in midfield.Since u like to pass rather than shoot. But u have to think abt shooting at times and going for goal.

Actually my coach admires my Stamina. I'm the only player capable of playing 120 min. I think my stamina is the best thing I got, of course Including my passes and crosses and ball control.

    About your question, rndh....

Try to work on your legs much more than anything....remmber, whenever you feel your legs are getting gainin weight while playing and you feel they're hard, the much you can Resist. Just think of the ball, never think of the fatigue.

    good luck.

Well, I'm 1.70cm 16 years old and i'm the capitain of my team:cool:
go to gym, it's the best that you can do

e: be small its not a problem. If you can run, be quick, and have skills with the ball, youre ok. Maradona is small, and he was the best football player of the whole football history;)

go to the gym but instead of doing less reps with a high weight, do lots of reps on a low weight, do things liek bench press and press ups for upper body stregnth, and run run run run, if you get your fitness to a very good level you'll find games much easier, try doing sprints and other types of shuttle runs

for technique, juggling is good, but only helps you in controlling the ball from a hieght, if u can, find a wall and hit the ball very hard agianst it, and practice controlling the ball like that

you shouldn't have a mind like zlatan of just doing tricks etc, players such as zidane look to pass first, if there is no chance to pass, then dribble, if you see a chance to shoot, go for it, but if not pass

i hope that helps a bit

Do tricks all the time is useless. Football is very simple unless you want to be a joga bonito Zlatan-bullshit, if you can do tricks and contribute to the team, good. But if those tricks make the team play slow and bad don't do it. You're in a team, you can play just for yourself.
