25 09 2002. During the friendly against Valezana, Igor Tudor has received a hit to his left foot. The player underwent an x-ray made by Doctor Carlo Faletti. No fractures have been found. Tudor may not play against Parma . Defender Pablo Montero underwent an echography due to a pain in the rear muscles of his left leg. No strains were found and he'll take part in the next training session.

eh? how do you see that?
Simple physics. Tudor's legs are longer than most other players, but his joints are of the same strength. Thus when you kick Tudor in the leg there is much more force exerted upon his joints than there would be for a player of smaller stature.

wow...but it doesn't affect every big player - Zlatan from Ajax for example is almost 2 meters tall but gets injured far less often than Van der Vaart who is of 'standard' heigth

This is true. This is explainable, by the way that each player runs, or the type of position that they play, but on average, the forces placed upon a taller players joints are greater than those of a shorter player.

Is ruben Oliveria injured or does he just never get a chance i heard he was injured dont know bout the injury though
As far as I know, Oliviera is just getting used to the team, and not injured. He is quite young, and we don't really need him immediately, so Lippi is probably just developing him.

Juventus defender Emiliano Moretti has been forced to pull-out of the Italian Under-21 squad that are set to take on Yugoslavia and Wales in European qualifiers due to injury.

The former Fiorentina starlet pulled his hamstring during Juve's 1-1 draw at home to Como Calcio on the weekend and is expected to be out of action for at least 20 days as a result.

09 10 2002. At the reprise after two days of rest the Juventus medical staff released the usual medical bulletin. The news are about Montero, Moretti and Iuliano.

Montero. After the hit received in Sunday’s match against Como, the Uruguayan defender has the left knee swollen because of a traumatic distorsion. The player will undergo a physiotherapic treatment for a few days. After that, his situation will be valued again.

Moretti. Forced to skip the two matches with the Under 21 National Team, because of a light inguinal problem, he has already started the physiotherapic treatment. The first answers to this treatment seemed to be positive.

Iuliano. He suffers from a fever infection which causes him breathing problems, which didn’t permit him to answer to the National team selection. He’s gradually improving and his situation is daily monitorized.
