Pepe is far from a good player, but he isn't half as bad as some people round here would have you believe.

Not when that is actually 10m when you factor in the initial loan fee, I think.

I'd think about signing him for a total of 5-7m and a sensible wage, in certain circumstances.

However, Juve do not currently need okay back-up players. They need first team players who can make a real difference, so they probably shouldn't sign him this summer.

I don't entirely disagree with you.

Pepe is far from a good player, but he isn't half as bad as some people round here would have you believe.

But you cherish hard-working, limitedly skilled players like Pepe. It's your M.O., which goes along with your tactical likings.

All Pepe has is work ethic. Apart from that, he's indeed a limited player who wouldn't be anywhere near Juve if it wasn't for his nationality. Marchionni is a more skilled player than he is without a doubt.
