Juventus winger Simone Pepe scored a spectacular free kick against Fiorentina to earn a 1-1 draw for the Bianconeri in Turin, earning many comparisons to Alessandro Del Piero.
The former Udinese man spoke about the goal and explained that he has learned plenty from the club legend since arriving in the summer.
"When there are free kicks on the side of the area we always try to place it towards goal, also because it can take a deflection. Against Fiorentina I kicked it on net and hit it so well it slipped in at the far post," he explained to Sky Sport 24.
"When I saw the ball had went in I told my team-mates to hurry their celebrations, because we could still win the game."
"We [Del Piero and I] have a good relationship, even beyond football," continued the 27-year-old.
"In training we often practice free kicks and to train with a champion like him helps me plenty, not only with regards to set-pieces."
La Vecchia Signora now sit in third spot in Serie A, six points behind league leaders Milan and they face Lech Poznan in a crucial Europa League match on Wednesday.
