Source: Gazzetta dello Sport before flying to South Africa with the rest of the Azzurri, Simone Pepe (26), as reported in La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning will be in Turin to perform medical examinations, after which he will put pen to paper on a contract from 1.5 million per season that will tie him for the next four years at Juventus.

1.5m per season. 4 years contract.

I think he'll do well in the right system.

Krasic Melo Marchisio Pepe

With one of the forwards creative and the other midfielders like Krasic, Melo and Marchisio loving to fenture forwards, a runner like Pepe would be pretty complementary.

Having said that, imagine Giovinco in his place. We'd be a bit more exposed, but speedfreaks like Krasic and Giovinco on opposite flanks would be difficult to stop for anyone.

Just read it's an agreed deal but postponed

so should we wish he rocks in the WC, or flops badly that Marotta changes his mind?

Pepe deal done, but postponed
Tuesday 8 June, 2010

Juventus have agreed a deal with Udinese in principle for Simone Pepe, but would like to wait until after the World Cup before making the signing official.

Sky Italia understands that Pepe had a medical at Juventus' training ground in Vinovo before leaving for South Africa with the Italy squad.

Everything is ready to be signed, but pen won't be put to paper until after Italy's participation at the World Cup because Juventus are keen to protect themselves should Pepe get injured.

In the meantime talks between Juventus and Udinese are ongoing with regard to Marco Motta.

The promising young full-back is co-owned by Udinese and Roma, and Juventus are interested in signing him.

They are also looking to define their arrangement with Antonio Candreva.

Well I guess that confirms he's supposed to be a starter.
