Wrong game to be singing his praises. He did nothing extraordinary; was pretty average throughout.

As for being better than Isla, it is always easier to be better than a guy who never plays or has a chance to showcase his abilities.

I can't agree. De Ceglie is worse than Padoin. Because of De Ceglie and his stupid mistakes in defence we were fucked many times. Padoin is smarter player, he try to do his 100% but "his 100%". Padoin is simple much safer option.

Did fine, kept Perreira quiet and provided a good outlet in the second half getting up and down the pitch.

He is never going to be first choice but a solid backup who allowed Licht to get a needed rest.

Gotta agree. Padoin doesn't fuck up as much as DC defensively.

I like his attitude and everything, but NO WAY he's a starter in a Derby d'Italia. But it was maybe necessary to rest Licht. But in the summer we need to have Isla back or buy a better RWB..
