So, I've been looking to all the transfers Secco has made and seen how many have failed and left the club.

Secco has been in control of the signings of this team for only 3 Summer Mercato's and he has already had 15 players that has come here, failed miserably and left the club again in only 3 years. Now thats 15 bad investments. He has been so inefficient its beyond crazy.

Looking at that list I just wonder, is this some kind of joke or is this guy for real? Molinaro? Knezevic? Boumsong!!?

And thinking about it, since he joined us he has only made one noticeable signing that actually made us better and thats Sissoko.

From this years mercato we all know that players like Cannavaro, Grosso and Caceres will be added to that list pretty soon.

The saddest thing about all of this is that we're still mainly living on the signings that Moggi did.

Anyways the problem with secco is much bigger than just the choices that he makes. He's negotiation skills is pretty horrible and soo many other things that i could write a whole page on.

Personaly i'm looking forward for the day that he leaves this club more than anyone else on this forum.....

Iago and Ekdal on the other hand just haven't proved anything , they have a potential to rise IMO.

He was still bad and not good enough to stay in the team. And then seriously, Boumsong, PL's biggest joke?

Ekdal and Iago can hardly be branded as failures.

Sure, I'm probably harsh on these youngsters but one of them is in Bari's primavera and the other I've seen in the Swedish Allsvenskan and if he really ends up making it in our team then he's improved a lot during his time in Italy.

I love Mellberg but he didn't have anything to do at this club and as a result of that he left after only 1 year.

Granted, Secco has done some bad signings, one cant ignore calciopoli affect, the fact that we actually managed to keep some of our top players like Buffon & Camo when dropping to B.
There was no way Juventus was going to sign top quality players in 2006/2007. You think top players would come and play in Serie B?

Oh and we actually got Zanetti when went to B, a player who was probably one of the best signings.

2007/2008 was in many ways the first BIG year for Secco, back in serie a.
Andrade was supposed to be the CD at the back, and he was a player with good reputation, he did have a bad injury history though but many folks where optimistic. Stendardo was brought in later because of Andrade injury problem and at the time Chiellini was injured for 1 month (we brought Stendardo in January). We desperately needed CD cover.

Tiago&Almiron were supposed to be the big signings of the summer, 99% of the members here where happy about this signings, no one really thought they would flop so badly. And who really could. Tiago was good at Lyon, and Almiron was apparently one of the best midfielders in serie A according to stats.

People were also quite optimistic about Criscito and Nocerino, praising them as the new generation who most expected to become good here. aka long term material etc etc.

Its easy to point at these things NOW though.

Oh and Molinaro was signed in 2005 but co-ownership deal was made with Siena.
Secco brought Molinaro back in the hope of getting a cheap but good option.

We had big money problems btw, no CL money, no serie A money. Secco had no other option than to bring in players like Boumsong. The top players who stayed (Buffon, Camo, Nedved) had to take a pay-cut also.

Mellberg wasnt a bad signing.

Yeah but he got us Zidane for almost nothing (5-6 mil) and we sold the guy for a world record 67 million. He got us nedved (and within a year he turned to a European Footballer of the Year) he got us Cannavaro by giving merda Carrini and the guy turned to be the best defender in the world, Buffon, Thuram, Davids and the list goes on and on...

You can call Moggi a cheat or whatever but when it comes to signing players (he was the best period). Even Zalayeta that you don't like scored our winning goal against Barca in the CL (that goal alone deserve twice what we paid for him).
