The inclement weather conditions in Italy have forced Sunday’s visitors Siena into altering their training schedule. The Tuscan outfit have been using Versilia in Viareggio as their base in order to guarantee an uninterrupted three-day workout.
Giuseppe Sannino has been working with a group of 25 players: Farelli, Marcone, Pegolo; Belmonte, Contini, Del Grosso, Pesoli, Rossettini, Rossi, Terzi, Vitiello; Angelo, Brienza, D’Agostino, Gazzi, Giorgi, Grossi, Mannini, Parravicini, Reginaldo, Vergassola; Bogdani, Calaiò, Destro, Gonzalez.
Four players are tied on the most appearances this season. These are, in order of minutes played: Roberto Vitiello, Emanuele Calaiò, Franco Brienza and Claudio Terzi.
Brienza is the only player to have been shown the red card so far this season, while Luca Rossettini has received the most bookings – eight in total.
Calaiò is the team’s top scorer, followed by Mattia Destro on five. Gaetano D’Agostino trails the strike partnership with two, while there are a host of players who have netted a goal apiece: Roberto Vitiello, Francesco Bolzoni, Alessandro Gazzi, Paolo Grossi and Pablo Andrés Gonzalez.
