really?

heh by contrast I spent 72 million on a 29 year old David Villa.

guy was worth it.

bloody hell!!
i spend usually 30 million per season, 20 to get some wonderkid, and some small change picking up cheap "good signing"s

@ burke, how big is your squad?! i can barely manage mine, any tips? also, how important is it to have a really good captain with 17+ influence? Gerrard's getting old, and I'll need to replace him

I guess this dynamic varies between versions, but I generally settle for about 22 players - two teams, plus a team of young players.

Well, the captain has to have good influence, and always be a player that will start and be around the squad a lot. He'll have to be the go-to-guy, et cetera...

Make Torres your captain or something.

My Bayern squad is......24, with two first-teamers loaned out.

Verona is..........huh, 24 too, but no one loaned out.

errrrrrrrr............

I have 82 players :(

average age 21, so my reserves are bursting, to put it mildly. I can never get players to go on loan i seems

I guess I should chill out on the scouting...and I was just feeling annoyed since two players that were considered "quality signings" (only the 4th and 5th I've found!) were way beyond my remaining budget of 1.5 million. I suppose it's a good thing that the economic downturn has hit Liverpool in the year 2013 :D no sugar daddy for us.

trying to do that....any recommended clubs?

as for those two quality signings, i managed to get both at their actual value, wtf?! usually I have to pay 4 times their value!

That's crazy, and the board picks them, you just choose from a shortlist.
And now Zapata is injured, what the fuck???
I like it, because realistically, at least one player gets a knock per game.

is he as good as he looks?
I'm trying to design a new formation for my team. I've got great wingbacks, good DMs and CBs, 3 world-class strikers (Keirrison, Torres, Bojan) a shit-load of AMs (wide and central) plus Gerrard. Im thinking something along the lines of:

------CB-CB----
WB----------WB
---CM-CM-CM---
-------AM------
----FC---FC----

with at least one CM moving forward. usual short/quick passing, wide, lots of runs from my WBs

your opinion :D any formation you've found particularly effective? or are you a true german, sticking with the same thing rigidly the whole time? :p

that's why i'm doing it before a shitload of friendlies, shouldn't be a big problem, plus my tactic will remain pretty close to the old one I think
