Number 17 is unlucky in Italy since 1990, when Roberto Donadoni (No17) missed his shot in pentalty shoot-out against Argentina and Italy failed to reach the WC final.

Juventus have officially announced the shirt-numbers for the upcoming season, with newcomer Patrick Vieira will hold on to his number 4. The other new players, Chiellini, Kovac and Giannichedda, will have respectively the number 3, 6 and 23. Miccoli chose number 13 but his future at the club seems unlikely.

True, it might be too good, but Canna and Thuram deserve a more flamboyant #.. thus 21, and 28 .. And Zambrotta already made 19 his..

Oh, and I see Tacchinardi's # 14 again..

I think it's really harsh to take Tacchinardi's number 3. It's all status the guy has left. At least Del Piero still has #10, I was a bit afraid that Capello would give it to someone else.

Nice to see that the squad numbers now have absolutely NO relation to our starting formation. If it goes as expected we will start the numbers 27, 21, 28, 19 in defense.
