Partly true. The official squad numbers have to be submitted before the start of the season, but in friendly matches the team must consist of the numbers 1 - 11. So no 99.

I'm all for retiring #6 to honor Scirea but that should be it.

He is far from a true #7 though. Hopefully Tacchincardi leaves, and Zambro can get a #3 shirt.

Pessoto is a defensive player. nr. 7 is IMO for ofensive players.. and I think it will be perfect for Mutu..
