Considering a possibility I was thinking of, Juventus might be playing with 3 forwards next season. If we consider that this is what will be going on, then maybe Capello wants 3 substitutes for all his front line.

Zlatan - Del Piero - Trezeguet - Mutu - Zalayeta - Nonda.

Or 2 of these (probably Mutu and Nonda) will be used to get an expensive forwards and I don't want that.
It would be even better if we keep two sustitutes for each stricker plus a thrid one to buy hotdog for the group...

A four year contract was ready for the Monaco striker, who is now available on a free, however Juventus decided to bring things to a halt, it seems for some medical tests that failed to satisy the Bianconero medical staff.

Now Nonda is free to look for another club, with Rangers still in the hunt.

As i expect it to be,
10mil+mutu, lovely!
Think of it as an upgrade,
we make mutu3years younger, italian and more tanented.
Besides cap's love for cassano are one of the few things that can bench Alex for good, mutu wouldnt make it.
And we might consider to change the damn 4-4-2
(unless cassano plays as midfielder to a diamond4)

DP/Treze - - zlatan

- - - - cassano
neddy - - - - - - - camo
- - - -- emerson
1. Cassano is not a playmaker and can not play in this position.. I wonder in witch fantasy world some of forum users are living...
2. Mutu must stay... he is much better than cassano..

It's good to see we have a good strict and demading medical staff... (I can imagine Madrid may try to make a bid for them in the transfer window to prevent another Woodgate?)

I think that the Mutu+10m deal will be made, and Mutu will have the bragging right to say that he played and won a scudetto while playing about 25 mins with Juve.

i would agree with everything u said, IF i/we where sure of the formation next season!!!

because, i think that Cap wants Cassano because he wants to see this attack in a 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 formation

Cassano-Trezeguet-Zlatan

or

-------Trezeuget
Cassano------Zlatan

why guys u think the only role for cassano is the CF ......i see him play well behind the strikers.....i saw the match for Roma - Lecce and his assistes to Montella are marvelluos .....in addition he can play next to a striker ....and i beleive if he comes.....DP position in the team is over and he must start to look for new club....i love him ...but his time at Juve is over we need new blood

I believe that Antonio Cassano, with his great dribbles, control of the ball, passes and technique can play behind the 2 strikers. He is young, he is with Capello and he can learn. I think Cassano should have a Totti-role behind Zlatan and Trezeguet.

Etc etc

Lets just close this thread. Shabani Nonda doesnt deserve to be spoken about, now that his failed medical may lead to us having to sell Mutu.

Toifilou Maoulida has penned a four-year contract with Monaco, while the principality club are closing in on a loan deal for Olivier Kapo.

Maoulida quits Rennes after one season at the Stade de la Route de Lorient in which he scored seven goals in 31 matches. The ex-Metz forward becomes Monaco’s third recent signing after goalkeeper Guillaume Warmuz and midfielder Olivier Sorlin, also from Rennes.

Barcelona ace Gerard looks certain to follow in the coming days, while Coach Didier Deschamps is stepping up efforts to sign France international Kapo.

The former Auxerre forward has made just two starts for Juventus after moving to Italy last summer and admitted recently that he was flattered by Deschamps’s interest.

However, Monaco are reluctant to spend big this summer – their three signings so far have all been free transfers – and are reportedly trying to negotiate a one-year loan deal with Kapo and the Italian champions.

Monaco striker Shabani Nonda, top scorer in France in 2003, looks certain to leave the Stade Louis II, but may not join Juventus as expected.

Fabio Capello has told Nonda that he would be the fifth-choice forward at the Stadio Delle Alpi behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Trezeguet, Alessandro Del Piero and Adrian Mutu – words that have obviously not filled the DR Congo international with enthusiasm.

The 27-year-old could now opt to stay in France, with Marseille, Lille and Lens reportedly standing by.

Elsewhere, Nice are closing in on veteran Brazilian striker Sonny Anderson, while Rennes ‘keeper Andreas Isaksson is being linked with a move to Manchester United.

Lyon are set to renew their interest in Luis Figo after the Portuguese star was told he could leave Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

I think it's more due to the previous injury he suffered which kept him out for a year and he never returned back to his original levels. Maybe shaky ankles or whatever.
