All that is true, but at the end we are still different nations, for one reason or the other, and each of those nations is a VERY proud one. So when you put us in a federation one will always be opressed by the other, as it was throughout history, and pride doesn't handle opression well. We're good as we are, though I don't condone hate between Ex-Yu countries and I firmly believe we can live together in peace, it'll just take time.

My comment had nothing to do with nationality. As you can see we are both Croats.
I was just wondering how can he be a war veteran when he was 14 when the war started, 17 when the war ended, he lives war away from the territories that suffered from war and he claims he was my saviour

He was probably getting beaten by the school bullies in high school during the war but he somehow started believing that he was fighting against the enemy armies.
The next thing he'll say will be that he killed 200 JNA (Yugoslav national army) soldiers when he was only 15. And he killed them with the rifle he got when he was 17.

Well,when he was hiding in his basement while being shelled by Serbs,me and some of my crew from games went trough bacis army training with 17yrs(that was common then) and joined 1st army brigade in Rakitje,called Tigers. We were deployed near Saborsko(1995,I never said I fought in 1991,I just tried to gather some armament) where we encountered some heavy resistance. And fighting. My brother died near Vinkovci when he was 17,in "ZNG" then. In Vukovar,kids fought at age of 15,while you hided in your basement,or even run away to italy in fishing boat.

And something to mention,Zadar and Šibenik were called "bežigrad".....people opeted for runaway with boats across to Italy instead defence of their country.

And in the end,I'm 30% war invalid... and after all,I hope you had a nice childhood with college education and everything

And yes, we were all saved by komandant barkuss. I remember my grandmother (she was Montenegrin though, but she was always grateful for what barkuss did for Croatia) talking to me about the Italian terror during WWII and i remember her words : "Tili su nas sve poubijat Talijani. Onda iz dubine mora izaša je barkuss i njegovi ratnici, poklali sve Talijane i bacili ih u more. Tako je barkuss spasija Hrvatsku"
