...what does that have to do with anything? We're talking about EPL vs Serie A.

Legro is better than Sol and Rio

well one of the best serie A defenders are in Lazio and Inter:Materazzi,Cordoba,Canna,Stam.
ATM Legro is better than all four of those defenders. When everybody's on form, Cannavaro and Stam are the best of the lot, but Legro is still better than Materazzi and Cordoba.

My Serie A dream team:

--------------Buffon
---Legrottaglie Nesta Maldini
Mancini Gattuso Nedved Zambrotta
--------Totti---------Del Piero
--------------Adriano

I used to get Eurosport, but my local cable company took it away, and replaced it with National Geographic. I can't get any Welsh channels.
NGC? *puke* They pulled a stunt like that on me as well. I now have the Discovery Channel, the National Geographic Channel and yesterday something called Discovery Civilization (?) hacked into my TV and replaced Cinenova (movie channel).

Dammit, I don't pay that disgustingly high amount of money to watch that kind of crap! :fero:

Yeah, but what's worse is they then replaced NGC with Discovery on my cable. Who are these people? I'm not sure I'd trust them to pick a number between one and ten, never mind pick and choose what I get to watch.

Try ringing them up, guaranteed frustration.

If you have a problem with Nederland 1, press 1

(...)

If you have a problem with RTL4, press 4

(...)

If you have a problem with MTV, press 132

serie A still leads IMO but chelsea have done the EPL a MASSIVE favour by becoming so damn good this year ... and stealing serie A's finest while at it!

Exactly. Just because Roman came and bought a squad full of stars, that doesn't say anything about the EPL. We're talking about the average standard of the game there.

man, I love watching discovery channel's civilizations.

I really hate Chelsea now. I hope Juventus can give them a good whopping in the arse. Ugh.

as for Inter 1 - 5 Arsenal, that doesn't signify anything, its just one match. Throughout the years Italian teams have performed better than the English in Europe, and for the last few seasons Serie A has been a lot more competitive than EPL, the runners-up being only 1 point behind the winners

Rio Ferdinand DOES NOT deserve to be the world's most expensive defender, he's not even that good, even majority MU fans think so. for the amounts of mistakes he certainly does not deserve that great amount of cash

hun his transfer fees and his wages are two different things. he is the most expensive defender in the world but the fee was settled between the clubs. he only gets a small percentage of it.

what your thinking is wages. how much does he get paid?

That means nothing.. Man Utd. have cash to burn, and if it was a smaller club, there's no way that they'd pay that amount for a defender of his quality. He's not bad, but he's not super either.

Rio doesn't have the strength or solidity that Legro does, and as a forward i'd be more worried about facing Legro than Rio, who seems to get turned easily, and is sometimes afraid to make the challenge at the crucial moment. Hey, you've probably seen more of his performances than mine, since you care about EPL, but he hasn't really caught my eye.

Transfer fees mean nothing. Vieri is the most expensive player in the world cumulatively, but that hardly makes him the best

i know that very well and i know he's not super but i also know that legro isnt super either.
besides Ferdinand played the semi final of the CL with Leeds and of course he won the EPL,as for legro he played for chievo played well but he's still not world class.he doesnt deserve that much money but he is more solid than legro he makes mistakes sometimes but on form he is one of the best defenders in the world.

We're not talking about the teams here, are we?

(to use a much laboured argument) Phil Neville won everything with Manchester United. That says nothing.

How can you expect Legro to be winning things with Chievo? Chievo have done pretty damn well since their promotion to Serie A, and a lot of that can be contributed to Legro.
