I thought we played well, but lacked a little in effeciency in the final third of the pitch. The Verona keeper was in great form. Second half was way better than the first. We created a lot, but scored little.

Del Piero back in the spotlight

“I’m happy to be back and happy that we won this afternoon. It was a very positive day”. Alex Del Piero was back in action this afternoon after almost a month out and he quickly set about bombarding the goal, showing a great understanding with his team mates: “It went well with both Palladino and Zalayeta but I think the whole team played really well against a strong Verona. I had a few chances but Pegolo was on great form. Seeing as we won today, you could say we were ok for goals…”.

IMO he played really great.

He played 30 minutes and created four chances.. Unfortunately without goal this time.
