Del Piero is available once more. This was the good news with which Didier Deschamps kicked-off this afternoon’s press conference, although he’s not quite sure what role he’s going to play yet. “Alex obviously doesn’t have 90 minutes in his legs yet - explained the man in charge - so I’m not sure how or how much I’m going to be able to use him. The important thing though is that he’s back with the group. When he’s on the field he’s always a danger to the opposition, as well a great help to his team mates, as he dictates the tempo of the game”. The suspended Nedved will need to be replaced but Deschamps was not giving anything away. “I have various options, even if finding someone else with the same characteristics as him is impossible. However, what’s important is to be lively in attack”. And a word on the day’s opponents, Hellas Verona. “As a team they haven’t scored many goals, but they also haven’t conceded many either and, particularly away from home, they leave very few spaces. They have a fixed game plan which revolves around the counter-attack: they stay tight on one another and are good at re-launching the play”. The journalists asked whether this summer he expected to be so far up the table today. “With the starting point we had it was hard to think we’d already be among the leaders. To carry on like this we always need to take the field with the right attitude, with the same mentality and concentration. It’s all in the head; if you get distracted you take certain risks, as happened against Frosinone and Triestina. Being a strong team on paper isn’t enough to win all our games, there is also the factor of the opposition, which always throws everything at us”. They also pointed out that Juventus could be outright leaders after this weekend’s round of games. “I don’t worry about what the opposition are up to, I only think about ourselves and about taking home as many points as possible. I know very well how the standings look, but the first time the league table matters will be on the 22nd December, before the two week break”.

Newest probable line-up from gazzetta.

Buffon
Zebina Kovac Boumsong Chiellini
Camoranesi Paro Marchisio Palladino
Bojinov Zalayeta

Switching to a 4-3-3, with Palladino going to the front, in attack.

Zala is a waste of space...put DP in there, push Palla up, and switch it to a 4-3-3

Yeah, we missed him a lot.
:D

Anyway, who had the chance to see him playing says he's a good defender. He was the captain of the primavera and had a bright future in front of him. Unfortunately he's more fragile than Tudor :shifty:
